Millers Honor Golfers
5/27/2004 Come to the men's golf awards program at Abby's Pizza at 5:45. We will present awards for our most outstanding golfers both at the JV and Varsity levels. Then meet at SHS at 7:00 to honor the top athletes in all the spring sports. Cake and punch will be served.
Millers Fall Again
5/11/2004 The Millers finished on a low note, finishing last in the nine-team Midwestern League District Tournament at Sunriver. Shooting at team score 337 on Monday, Springfield was down but not out, as we had room to improve and move up in the standings. But Tuesday was not a day for the Millers, as we shot our highest round of the season at 356. Marcus lead the team with a steady 84-84 (168), while Andy was right behind with 80-89 (169). Michael finished third, shooting 84-96 (180), followed by Kelly 89-93 (182). Ryan shot 92 on Monday, and Daniel took over on Tuesday, shooting 90.

JV Midwestern League District Tournament Goes Down to the Wire
5/4/2004 Ten teams competed for the MWL Junior Varsity Championships, held at Springfield Country Club. Although the skies threatened, it never actually rained during the round. Team results were too close to call until the final group came in. North Eugene is the district champion, shooting 333 as a team, narrowly edging both South Eugene and Sheldon, at 334 each. Quentin Orr of Sheldon is the individual champion, with a score of 77, followed right behind by his teammate Jon McCall at 78.
The Millers finished in seventh place with 358, and were led by Craig's 85, who missed the top ten by only one stroke. The rest...[More]
